North West to Hummocky

We left North West this morning just after sun up, after yet another pack & load in the early morning darkness. We had long morning on a dead sea with a head current for half the day which slowed us to just over 6kmh.
We spotted a whale about 5km off North West, and the flying fish continued to put on their spectacular aerial shows.
The bizarre sight of a fishing boat 28km from North West was the sign that the tide was starting to ease, and so it proved, as we shot into Hummocky at a great rate to land around 3pm.
Rather than head for the campsite after 58km & 8 hours on the sea, we found a couple of awesome sea caves & on the way in & poked our noses in for a look.
It was a nice way to end what was probably the only uninspiring day on the water on our whole trip.
There is a strong SE change forecast overnight which we'll aim to ride into Emu Park.
