Cruise Test in the Taran

A 10km training paddle with the express goal of going as fast as I could go, with my heart rate on or under 120bpm. Obviously on our trip any extra exertion on crossings of such magnitude are to be avoided, but not at the expense of speed. The faster we go, the safer we'll be…
I thought 9.4kmh average on dead flat water, without any real strain or effort was testament to the glide the Taran mangages to deliver, despite being an awesome rough water boat. It's some design….
